Aircraft and airport noise
Aircraft manufacturers have successfully reduced the source noise of civil aircraft. But noise problems have not disappeared: new airports and runways are constructed, the number of aircraft operations is increasing, new dwellings are creeping in on airports, and people’s environmental concern grows.
Noise exposure modelling, environmental regulations, land-use planning and air traffic restrictions are essential tools for air traffic noise management.
For more than 35 years one of our core activities has been airport/aircraft noise. We cooperate with airports, environmental authorities, planners, and civil aviation administrations on noise investigations in many countries. References.
